I finally had to give my 18" rtc to a friend with a pond after it ate my pair of 10" silver arrows. Lesson learned. Red tails should have their own tanks.

My Vandellia eat very well:

19" Pacu cost me the most at $25, I also feed out 10 inch goldfish twice a week at a cost of $5.00 apiece.

My particular prefered Kittyfish are very expensive to feed even if they are only 4 inches long

My 8 inch redtail cat's been eating real good. he's eaten so far 2 3in african cichlids, 2 5in pbass, and 1 6in silver arowana. now i got to leave the lights on so the others can see him at night.

That's like locking a fat kid in a room full of chocolate cakes. What do you think is going to happen?

Our TSN ate 5 full grown tin foil barbs, tried to eat 2 syno featherfin cats, and a bucket load of Africans....the final straw was when we bought a $30 OB peacock...put him in the tank and he lasted about 10 seconds before....gulp!!! We ended up donating the TSN to a public aqarium in a mall in our province...

My RTCxTSN has eaten a lot of fishes, but I think the most expensive were a sultan pleco, Leporacanthicus joselimae, and a juvie Paratilapia polleni.

Depressing thread this one! honestly though, you got to expect a RTC to eat there tank mates.....Do you feed feeders? I bet he is just thinking, hmm, thats a funny colour feeder...gulp!
