If it lasts more than 24 hours I'd net the fish and gently try to massage the jaw back into place. It's probably dislocated from fighting.

It's been like 3 days

So it's definitely stuck.

The one time I had to deal with this it was a small CA (convict maybe? I don't recall) at the LFS I worked at. I held the fish in one hand and gently pulled to extend the mouth fully, then allowed it to retract like normal. Fish was fine.

Best of luck.

I think there is something called "mouth rot" that can cause the mouth to stay open. My Malawian Eye Biters got it if I remember correctly, but that was about 14 years ago. There is medication for it, but they all died. I always wonder if they got it from all the store bought feeder guppies I fed them, because I kept their aquarium in immaculate condition. Ever since then I've been very weary of feeding store bought feeders to my fish.

I'm not saying that's what your fish has, just throwing another possibility out there. Good luck, get well Texan.

I just found out that my gt is a female so if they where fighting that's what happen. they can't breed can they?

no i don't think so but did you fix its motuh i hope its okay is there anything at all in its motuh any object or mold or anything if so it may not be from fighting

do these fish have teeth that i should look out for

A form of Columnaris disease...very common in cichlids and very hard to treat.

People who keep flowerhorns refer the disease as 'duck-lips disease'.

Good luck.

They have little teeth. It won't hurt that bad if you brush your hand up against them.
