Feel free to describe this as a moronic question...

Otherwise, as the mozzies mature I'll cover the tank - not my first idiot's rodeo...
however, this won't help the little pond in the yard.

it's likely that the male paradise is eating them here & there; I seem to be down to a dozen or so in the main tank (just him & babies & snails) but they are certainly growing faster than those moved to the tank with the mozzie larvae & pond-plankton (and baby mystery snails0, with which i'm a little surprised.
