Well an unfortunate update to this post, about a week ago when I turned on the lights (this tank is the first one on) the Texas freaked out and slammed into the glass top. It was obvious after that something was wrong he would try to swim but would sink back down and was staying in the back of the tank on the bottom I gave him a couple days and it’s seemed to just get worse and worse when he tries to swim he now does circles/loops and goes upside down he also stopped eating but will still try to eat things on the bottom he sees fall beside him but is struggling to get it when he’s sideways. He’s still got some fight in him so I’m hoping for the best and that he can make a recovery.IMG_4098.jpeg

He’s both better and worse, he’s not laying on his side as much anymore and is staying a bit more upright but at the same time can barely swim without starting to spin. He twirls and spins in the water while swimming and is hitting into the decorations and scape in the tank and he’s now got a few cuts/missing scales but he is showing some more interest in food and trying harder to eat.

Damn, that's messed up. Sounds almost like a brain injury affecting his orientation. Hopefully he can recover over time. Have you rescaped with only soft stuff he can't get hurt on?
