Why did you decide to take out the holey rock? I'm just wondering since I started my peacock/hap tank with holey rock then changed to big black rocks months ago and last night, I went back to holey rock. I'm not feeling the holey rock though so it might not last too long.

it is a burden to keep clean. that large center piece weighed 60 pounds. the only way to keep it clean is to bleach it. a week later it looks like crap. taking a 60 pound piece in and out of a tank was insufferable. all of that and i wanted to go with rocks that are more natural looking. every video i've seen of rift lakes has large bulky gray rocks.
