So i have ordered the glass, it's going to take a week for them to cut and ship it over.
In the meantime i have to clean up the mess that i have created when the glass shattered from the Torch. ( Have to remove pieces of glass, silicone, resand and repaint with Pond Armor.)

In the meantime, I have lots of new questions :).
Originally i was thinking about running it as an African Cichlid Tank, after speaking with wife, she told me not to be cheap and just spend the extra money and make it a salt water tank! :)

So, I am thinking about getting a 75 Gallon tank and running it as a SUMP for my 300G Display tank.
Now, my question is What kind of Pumps do you guys recommend ? What about the Protein Skimmer? I dont know which one to go with since the prices are 500$ and up for Skimmers designed for 300G tanks. Any other stuff you guys recommend setting up? I'm All open for suggestions and would appreciate if you guys can link Amazon for the product since i purchase most of my stuff from there. Plus i have a Fluval FX6 Sitting around from my old tank, should i run it as a mechanical filter on top of the sump?.

oh btw this will be my first Salt Water Tank even though i've had fish tanks for almost 10 years now :)

Thank You all for Tips!.

So here is the update.

So far the stuff I bought:

- 75 Gallon Fish Tank
- Plexiglass to divide the Fish Tank for Sump.
- Reef Octopus 202-S Protein Skimmer (ITS HUGE!)
- 900W Heater with LED display.
- 3000GPH Patriot Koi Pond Pump KP3000
- 60GPH Pump for Auto TOP OFF
- 2 x Hydor Powerheads

This whole project is already costing me about 3500 - 4000$. And im only half way through!
Plus i used about 7 - 8 Coats of Pond Armor to be on the safe side.

I am still debating whether or not to use my Fluval FX6 Canister Filter...

You definitely want water to be able to flow over the top of the dividers, to the return pump, in case something gets blocked. That way water returns to the tank and doesn't overflow the sump. Is there space above those dividers, or did you go right up to the plastic?

Update:

So removing the silicone from the old glass was extremely hard! Took me all day to take it off.
If anyone needs to scrape off silicone, i took a metal scraper heated it up with torch and removed the silicone comes out like butter. However the problem is taking the residue after... i went through like 20 sand papers.

Update:

Glass just came in, so i will be installing it on the fish tank in the next couple of days because i decided to put another coat of Pond armor Pond shield.

As for the stand i worked on it a little and i love the results, just need to puddy the holes, sand and stain it :).
