My 300G

After many months of struggle and upgrading my 300G planted tank is finally starting to get better and predictable.

Purchased better 7k lights, doser, chiller and improved the filter.

Still playing around with the plants, I’m limited by what will take due to the sand and soft water (wish it was all aqua soil) but it is so much better that it was.

Looks amazing mate! Why do you use a chiller on the tank though? For temp stability in Perth's summer heat?

Need a lid for the eels so there’s no heat export, the lights generate a fair bit of heat and the UV steriliser too. The heat was fluctuating from 26c to 30c almost daily and was producing algae on all my leaves. The cost of cooling the room with ducted air conditioning was more than a chiller.
