wow, totally blown away
Finally got him in there last night. I got a sick deal on a Fluval 405 ($80 b/c it was open box). I got it home only to find out the impeller cover was missing. D'oh. Anyways, a quick trip down to the pet store & I'm back up and running. I still need some backing & rocks for basking. For the time being I'm just using a cheap basking ramp.

Excellent job on the stand. Looks much cleaner than mine. Did you have any trouble fitting the canister under the stand with the drawers?

Yea actually. I didn't build the stand around the filter so I ended up having to cut out a piece of the floor & lower one side by about 2 or 3 inches so it would fit. It's still tight but it works.
Still not sure what I want to do for basking. I like the natural look so might build something out of rocks. Thanks for the link though.
