What a difference a coat of finish does hu.? Looks way better.. I got the first coat on..

WOW! What kind of wood is that? I love the look of the grain, especially with that stain on it. What's the stain called?

That is African ribbon Mahogany.. No stain. just clear minwax oil.

Three part process with the oil. first coat let it dry for a few days.. next coat i will apply it by rubbing it in with 1500 grit sand paper.. then the last coat i rub in with 2000 grit. makes it baby's A** smooth and a low luster.. any scuff or water mark i can just go grab some oil and rub it on the area and the blemish is gone.. besides.. i really didn't want to spray varnish in the house.. yuck.. it would have looked better though..

I love mahogany.. This is a coffee table I made with Sapele mahogany and bloodwood inlay on the legs.. This is my own design. I sold this for $1800.

Man that is really good work, I'm also a fan os woodwork and I just love the way you build your tank maybe I can do one in the future.
