just googling on albino oscars and found out tht my oscar is actually a lutino oscar. == those without any patterns, have albino eyes and have white body(not to mention the lemon oscar) are pure albino oscars. those tht have orange patterns and black fins are lutinos. i nver knew about this at all. does anyone else knows about this?

i cant find any pics of pure albino oscars on google. but a true albino oscar will be pure white and red eyes, with no colour pigments . they said tht it is very rare and would cost a fortune to own one, but who knows. :)
this is a lutino oscar though, just like mine.

most people say it's an albino just because they have white bodies but it's actually not.

I dont know about that but it could be true. Im glad to have the orange though if it was just white it would not be in my tank. but the ghost orange does look interesting in that video

I don't know. I still think the ones in stores with the orange pigments are still albinos because all an albino is is the lack of melanin which is all the black pigment. The all white ones in the video remind me more of a snow which, in the reptile world, is a combo of albino and anerytheristic, so no black or red pigment, which leaves it with a white on white pattern.
I still think those look pretty cool though

actually an albino and a lutino are different. the video was just an example to show u guys, but with tht ghost orange pigments doesnt make it a true albino. like i have read, a white body doesnt make it an albino, and also they are very rare to find in an lfs. maybe tht's because there are so little info about them, even google cant find a picture of it. O.O

I have never seen an albino oscar...

This one looks albino, if it didn't have black fins!
