Goldie is getting nice and fat with eggs, next few days we should get a new spawning. They are spending more time keeping the flower pot clean.
Other news, with the remodel going on I rehomed all my other fish save these two and shut those tanks down. I then added the filters or the BB colonies into the filters on my running tank so I can get them back running without cycling from scratch.

Ouch. My geo drew blood on my ex a few times, apparently the force of a 12" cichlid hitting your hand at speed hurts more than the actual bite is what my ex said.
Casper is so handsome. Bet he'll be a beautiful big brute.

I ended up with an unplanned Red Devil only because the girl in the fish department saw me admiring Nero and begged me to take him. She had bite marks on her hand that had broken the skin and there were bruises underneath.
Until you have a siphon extension, can you use something to block him from attacking you? Net? Dinner plate? Not kidding, the latter is what I use to keep the larger, stronger Red Texas off me. Nets don't stop Caligula. He's a menace.

I figured out 10 bites later to just wait till 1/4 of the water is drained, then it's long enough so he can't get me anymore.
Apparently there are eggs hatching just not the ones I want.....
Wake up this morning and Casper and Goldie have caught the ICK
Massive water change with thorough clean of the substrate, will be raising the temps to 86 over the next few days, was at 75. Can't use salt due to plants right? So gonna do a salt dip tomarrow or Sunday due to Goldie is starting to lay eggs as I type this out.

Need to find me some midas/amphs. Have a small trimac but still have always want a nice midas. Hard to find where im at.
