When I was there yesterday I asked them about Caspers fry. Said they are at the offsite area growing out more before they sell them. So shortly here they will be available.
That's so crazy to know my err Caspers little babies will soon be flying off all over the place..
I have found that a large dinner plate works well to keep an aggressive cichlid off you... specifically a lightweight but nearly indestructible Corelle Ware plate. Easy to maneuver and it won't shatter or crack when they hit. Any sturdy platter will work though.
Nero (red devil) and Caligula (red Texas) think that human flesh is mighty tasty. It necessitates some creativity.
He's grown so much. Just finished a 40ish% water change and filter cleaning. Seeing the progress of casper always inspires me to keep my babies healthy.
Been five days now and the new friends are doing good. No deaths, tho Casper did get ahold of the tail of one of them. Its already healing back so should be a non issue.
Casper does try to hunt them down every now and then, but so far they have been to fast for him.
These guys are absolut pigs. As soon as food hits the water they go into super speed mode eating it all up.
