is the 40 grit heavy enough not to get stirred up or stick to slime coat?

Barton 30/40 red garnet won't stick on the slime coat the way pool filter does. Call to make sure they have 30/40 in Stock. Cuz they'll probably have 80 mesh(too fine). That abrasive size is the most popular.
Portland location never carries 30/40 barton. 3 bags is fine on a 6x2 footprint. Can go with 4 if u want it 1.75" Deep. That's the only reason why I got the 36 idaho purple.

3 bags is what I used for my 6x2.
lol I still need to get the tank onto the stand and source a sump. Hahaha I'll probably pick up the substrate this week though
