Hi, the size of tank is 2ft++, although I’m planning to upgrade soon though. I would say the minimum would be 3ft. They don’t move much at all, they can stay at the same spot for the entire day until an unsuspecting prey hovers above their mouth. Their max size is about 8” only, so a perfect predator for those who are unable to own a large tank. That is the coolest most interesting cat i've seen besides the gulper. What size is the tank? what is there max size?
They look great one of my favorite catfish.Been awhile since I’ve updated, been quite busy nowadays. All of them chacas are still well and thriving. Ended up buying one more, which shifts the total to 3. I rarely see the small one anymore, although I know it’s alive under the sand somewhere.

Same here! They look great one of my favorite catfish.
Surprisingly works. Not a single Kuhli loach or ottocinculus has been eaten, excellent clean up crew at the bottom of the tank as well. The only kuhli that passed, was due to me being an idiot and siphoning it during a water change 🤌cleanup crew is here!
4x kuhli loach and many ghost shrimp (meant to be feeders). Had the kuhli loaches for 2 weeks without any issues. Guess the chaca isn’t interested in them.

Thanks! Only eats live, I buy a bag of feeders once a month. Mollies, guppies, sometimes tetras. Tried weening it onto seafood (mp, squid, fillet) but no luck. What have you seen it eat or suspect it’s eating? Like the setup so far.
