so i found these disposable grill toppers, buck each.
they work perfect!!!!!
bend the edges down so it stands up a bit.
also keeps the meat in the air and laying flat.
not sure if i can reuse them.
the teriyaki one is a mess i know.

also
i had the butcher cut my steak into 1/4" strips
then i trimmed the fat off at home
:headbang2

also
i used the cure from the kit on all the jerky.
with the cure it turns the meat red and it dries fast, also tastes better.
i searched the net and found some seasoned cure online i might get one day.

im getting good at this :D

so i been trying to make my own "hot" seasonings for beef jerky

found this recipe for "hot" beef jerky online

i used
2 tsp pepper
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp onion powder

so this tasted ok but wasnt that hot

so i went to ebay and got some of this stuff :naughty:
hottest pepper in the world says guinness

so i added 1 tsp to the above combo this time
it was hot,but i want light your beep on fire
so next time im attempting 2 tsp of it instead of 1 :nilly:

:D

if you cut it thin 6 hrs usually does it
but ya leaving it go that long could
eat up electric
burn up the ovens element
"i had one burn out but my ovens a few years old"
and im not sure if it was from doing jerky or just old
also leaving the oven door open will heat the place up a bit
:)

lol the packaged jerky looks mad good. and when you talk about mass production like your selling dime bags. Hope to see you on the corner with your trench coat full of jerky. :D
