its about that size.its dry season
if i had a seine net and someone nutty enough to help seine,we could have every fish in my hole.
naa i check every sunday,its about 15 min away.
thats like 5 bucks in gas in my hot rod with me driving
not if you had 10 tanks all full of fish
cool idea. I read an article where a guy caught a 2' long sorubimicthys planiceps down there. Also there's plenty of walking cats I have heard, you ever catch any?
never heard that or seen one.

I'll try to find the article. I don't think they are getting a foothold, I think it was just a random fish that someone dumped. Took me 7 years to locate the one I have now.
The Firewood Catfish aka Shovelnose Catfish is a large catfish that reaches sizes of up to five feet long; however the body is elongated and the fish don't weight very much compared to their length. They actually look like they are starving.
The firewood catfish has a flat head with very very long barbels. Which you can plainly see in the picture above and they are native to the Amazon and Orinoco River basins.
This specimen was actually caught by a fisherman in California. So obviously someone has released a store bought aquarium fish into the wild. This is illegal and various exotic can cause havoc with native species.
My bad looks like it was california. Still cool though, but not cool that someone released this fish into the wild.

went there on easter.
never in all the times i been to my hole has there been anyone else.
easter,there was 3 brand new traps set and baited
they also rebaited all my traps.
nothing in them tho.
someone must have seen me or my traps and said hmm wonder what hes catching.
i was going there to get my traps "to many fish at the moment"
but i left them for whoever rebaited them.
