Do you have any problems with the water condensing on the glass and flowing to the sides and onto the top of the tank?
just looked and in one spot theres water on top of the tank.
looks like its running back into the tank tho,dry around the lids.
i was also thinking of running a small bead of silicone around the edges on the glass. ;)
my tank is a bit wavy tho so it might not help me. :irked:
and the only reason mine is puddling is cus of the air stone in the tank

Another work of art
wow great idea
looks really neat and well done
thanks :)

Or on the top of the tank itself , kind of like a little dam around each opening.

i have the same issue with my acrylic tank! the water condensates on the warped lids and puddles on the top of the tank!

i think i may try this out of glass or i may try to get some thick plexiglass! gonna take a ride to the glass place !

thought this was a cheap good idea. :D
i used to have warped plexiglass tops, now i have these.
i had some old jalousie glass out of old windows.
cut it to the length i wanted.then sanded the edges.
then i drilled holes and used little screws with nuts to bolt plastic mirror clips to the tank.
all i have to do is spin them around to remove the glass.
You must have an old house. Or the little old lady down the street is missing four panes of glass out of her windows. I am impressed that you knew what to call Jalousie windows (if that is spelled right). It also tells me you aren't a young 'un. (I think those windows were last used in the mid 1960's.)

If you saved your scrap glass, you should know how to make some really cool handles.

Thanks !! I'm currently looking for ideas to cover the openings on my 300 acrylic.

?
I get water from capillary action filling the spaces between panes of glass. It is a little bothersome but not really a big deal. I clean them with a wash cloth at water change time.
