K, gravel is hard as hell and takes like 2 hours a cave. Stick to the big rocks :irked:

For the gravel ones, get some wax paper and put a big glob in the middle. Fold it over and spread it out. Then open the wax paper, put it over the cardboard tunnel, and dump a bunch of rocks on it. When it dries, peal the wax paper off. If you want rocks one the inside, smear more silicone on the inside and add a layer of rocks. The new silicone will stick to the cured silicone enough to get the job done.

I made my 1st one out of gravel. all I did was take a plastic fountain cup from a gas station and cut it in 1/2. Next just smear the silicone all over it. Then pour on the gravel and let it dry for a day or two. I kept mine for about a year until I decided to go a different route with the tank it was in.

The plastic cup idea is way better than mine. Easier and makes sense too.

im going to make a few more.
tape 1/2" dowel rod to the cardboard.
make a pile of silicone on the cardboard.
dunk each rock in the silicone "not alot or it will stick to the rod".
