My emperor snakehead (Channa marulioides)

His color changes depend on what mod his at. Will turn dark blue most of the time when his happy and just calm. When into berserk mode, his eyes turns to bright red. It also shows the stripes and some golden patches and the belly turns white.

Blue marulioides don't really develop flower patterns compare to yellow marulioides.

they do get some flowering don't they? i remember seeing tokyo's blue maruiloides and they had a nice amount of flowering

They do get them but not much. If you ever seen a yellow marulioides, you will be amaze on how much flower patterns they have. Some will even develop full flower. I've TGM blue marulioides. The flower pattern is still not much compare to some of the yellow marulioides.
