Why don't YOU show US a picture of what you believe to be a Melanoptera.

The fish posted in this thread are Channa Marulioides.

tokyogasmask, chronick : i'm not believe it, but i just guess that a channa melanoptera, cause i read on snakeheads.org a channa melanoptera like blue emperor.. sorry i just guessing..

Yes both channa melanotera and channa marulioides do both look alike but as I said in my previews post. Channa melanoptera does not have any cardinal eye present. That's is how you can tell them apart easily. The cardinal eye is located in the caudal area where it is present on both channa marulioides and channa marulius.
