My ever changing setups...

Thanks everyone for all the kind words, I'll keep you all updated on everything. I have a lot of babies, so it'll be fun to watch them grow up.
I had the 55 and the 80 out in the garage, but they weren't ready to be setup yet - all dirty, not painted, etc. So I told myself if he made it through the night, I'd set up the tank the next morning. When I woke up he was upside down on the bottom of the tank. I'm pretty sure Snook, Midas, and Jack teamed up on him and beat him down. It was a sad day. Probably a good example of why too many fish in one tank is a bad idea.
I lost him to gang violence. He was doing so well and was one of the bigger guys in the tank. I went away for a weekend and when I came back he was beat up a little bit and hiding in the upper corner of the tank.beginneralex14;3403210; said:

Not a mod, just a regular.
I got the Monos and Jag from Pets Inc. I don't want to knock other stores, but I've found they have a nicer selection and their fish look healthy. If they're not healthy, they mark their tanks nfs. I've seen some horrible fish at other places - black discus, dead half eaten oscars, etc. I've never bought anything from Ocean Floor, they have a lot of nice fish as well, but I've heard from friends that their fish aren't the healthiest either. I don't have any experience with them though.
I would highly recommend Pets Inc though, they're really helpful whenever I go in there and most everyone I talk to knows at least a little bit about fish. They might not know everything on the fish you want to buy, but they have a good sense of whats right and whats wrong.

thats great how big is their selection compared to the stock they have listed online? also do they have any bichirs?
that was a very fascinating little documentary haha. i wish i had kept records like that. very cool to see evolution from newbie. i think its something everyone here can relate to
