I knew there was a reason I took them off of my drool list. ;)

I have a spreadsheet on my computer with fish I love... I write notes down, sometimes keep the "nope, and here's why" comments but not always. Might have just deleted the tigrinus.

Do you mean a Tigrinus? Don't they need like a 3 foot tank and current? I feel like I researched them once because I think they're gorgeous... but I might be getting the wrong fish mixed up with the one you mention.

AG458 AG458 - what size tank do you have?
Currently, my tank is a 60g-I'll see if I can get measurements later. This is NOT for long-term; even though it's the only tank I've got at the moment, I'm monitoring the sizes of the fish I have. If my fish grow to sizes my tank can't contain, I'll have to return them unfortunately. I only have 3 fish right now (endli, baby pbass, pleco) who are doing fine in my tank and are really awesome to watch. Nobody's too big; even my endli, my biggest fish, fits in the tank without being cramped (except maybe when he's behind my heater). I'm feeding them Hikari carnivore pellets instead of live. As far as the zebra tigrinus, that will have to wait a while :)

What's your upgrade timeline?

Endlis have a pretty quick growth rate supposedly compared to other bichirs (I don't own one). Even upper jaws grow 1 inch or more per month, though the UJs slow down when they hit 8 or 9, I'm not sure what Endlis do. Others will chime in. I think Pbass grow quickly too but I don't know much about them.

If you want to keep these fish I'd keep your eyes peeled now on CL or OfferUp so you can score a deal when you find it and not be pressed for time.

Good luck!
