What filter/s are you running? The 60g cube is an air stone and sponge filter.

im using 450 gph filters with diy sponge media that lowers the gph alot though
1 in my 20 gallon and 3 in my 55 gallon

I think you would be ok. A good mix of stem and rooted plants will help take up the excess nutrients.
