Moved a some stock around. G. Brasiliensis, H. Notatus and the larger chocolate cichlid to the 260g.

Actually, let's make that both chocolate cichlids are now in the 260g.

The Kribensis spawned for the first time today. It was neat getting to watch them barrel roll into position.PXL_20210527_230837361.jpgPXL_20210527_230830535.jpgPXL_20210527_230810939.jpgPXL_20210527_230434631.jpgPXL_20210527_230420011.jpg

Hum. I had kribs in a tank with carib moonlight (a very fine white sand); what mine did was to dig under the driftwood when they wanted to spawn so they formed a nice little cave. Your tank has a coarse gravel which they probably not enjoy digging into very much. They also seem to like to shift in the sand for food so thought I would mention this in case you ever decide to change your substrate. Hum. Here is an old picture (well about 10 months):

(the blue thing is a colourful but natural stone - and yes that is a cockatoo snooping around their cave)

My kribs kept all of the fish in a 60 gallon tank confined to only half of it. Only fish they let near was some danios and an Amazon puffer (didn’t go near nest and puffer was sick anyway).
When they were herding fry around my rainbow shark got too close. They tore its throat out lighting fast. Honestly it was impressive how nasty a small fish could get.

Somebody ate the Krib's eggs.

My kribs learned pygmy cory were harmless and let them mingle with their frys; conversely the pygmy cory learned that the kribs kept all fishes away from their cave so they always settled in front of the cave. I kid you not - i was really shocked when i saw the pygmy freely swimming among the frys.
