My fish rooms build

Do you trust yourself enough to attempt a rectangular pond with a viewing panel installed? I believe it could be a nice inbetween point between pond and tank.

Yes and no. I personally don't like the idea of rectangular ponds with catfish, or rectangular ones in general due to dead spots but that's an easy fix. I guess I'm open to it, just haven't priced it out yet. Or engineered a design yet lol

Still settling in but already starting to color up after a few hours. You can also see in the back the new hide for the bigger catfish that they're completely ignoring.

Also picked up a hygrometer. No idea how calibrated if it is but it's at least within 5% so I'll take it for now.

Rest of the house is around 30
Nice pick ups!
So 40 to 60 is ok? What's ok mean? I have a clock that has a thermometer and a hygrometer on it. I just set it up in my fish room and mine is reading about the same. I get a little condensation on the windows and some mildew on the window sills if I don't wipe it down weekly. Until I put that clock out there I'd have thought it higher honestly.

It's A reptile hygrometer. So that's supposed to be the 'ideal' humidity. And like with any other reptile hygrometer I'm ignoring that range lol
I figured that was the case. I remember hearing that typical household humidity with things like central air and not being in a super humid or super dry climate should be around 20%. I saw that range on yours and was like hey I'm good! Nope need a dehumidifier.

Nice convicts.

Happy blursday everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying their quarantine

So the back room that was going to be the massive tank/pond room has now become an indoor veggie garden. Got some new lights for it today. 6x 8' 6500k 4200 lumen each.

With regular overhead light

(Ignore the mess)

With new lights installed

And That's just letting them chill on top of the cabinetry
