Ok so I posted a thread a while back saying how my FH just suddenly becoming afraid of humans and theres nothing wrong with its tank. The water parameters are 7.8ph, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 5 ppm nitrate. Temp is 84 degrees.

About a month and the thing is still stressed and rams into the tank and injures its hump.. It eats fine.. But I'm currently treating the tank with Melafix.. so I'm trying to avoid feeding it.

It was 5 inches a couple months back.. and now its almost 7 inches.. Does anyone have a remote clue as to what I'm doing wrong? Hes a recent pic.. When it wasn't so stressed..

add dither fish... silver dollars...maybe plants... so he is preoccupied with other things to relieve his stress

I wouldn't do that, sounds like a punching bag for his FH and torturing for those fish only. I doubt that the stress from the fish has little to do with being bored, FH are fine by themselves.

Keep the lights off for couple of days. Sometimes it takes larger fish to settle in longer. What size is the tank?

is he eating? if not he prolly has some type of parisite worms etc... do huge water changes and bump the temp up to about 88 90 and give some salt and de wormer meds hopes this helps

I kept the lights off for 3 days before and it made no difference, and its in a temporary 46 gallon.

He eats just fine, has a massive appetite. I tried salt for a couple weeks.. it did not work, I dislike using salt unless its for ich.
