My GH XB

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well Gold head are a crossbreed between a Super Red and XB as full helmet(full color on head) is a feature of Red aros :)
Hope to see more updates on this beauty of urs :)

I have not heard that before. I have been told first hand by farm owners that GH was originally a rare mutation found in rtg, hbrtg and xb. It was then line bred to develop the various GH fish you see today. I can not see how red aros which are red would mutate to produce gold. Where did you hear this?

Nice fish btw :)

To maintain a GH u need to keep it in a white tank at least till it reaches 15-16 inches else the shine will ofcourse drop. WTT is mostly recommended in a fibre glass tank aka white FGT where u can leave the water level to say 1 feet, coz low water level is preferred in fgt. All golden xbs must go through WTT for early shine development on 5th and 6th level scale, faster pearlies development, for fishes that came from a good lineage, earlier development of golden lines or even golden head is necessary.
Thus, it is not surprising that the majority of farms are now using the white fibregrass to raise young xbacks. Do not fear buying 'white' xbacks, the more white washed ur GHXB is, the more the gold tone will intensify when u transfer the fish in a black tank.

Mmmmm so all gh are fake as if you place a jar in white tank it will turn white

White tank is a trick to make golds have higher shine much like reds that trick you into thinking they look better with nan light

With gold aro the shine will go higher in white tank but the colour is washed out with hardly any gold intensity

You don't see many good grade golds without white tank
