HI!
i just want to say goodluck
If you don't mind but where do you live in portugal? never seen a filtration system done just with plants... other thing: did the aquariums get algae with a lot of son?
when do you think you will fill the aquariums?

thanks
I live in Lisbon and this house is near Torres Vedras.

The filtration only with plants is the best thing i have done. I don't need electricity in spring and summer. Until now, November, i haven't heaten my African Cichlids in the Green House. If the sun continues, only next month i'll do it .

They don't get much algae because i have a lot of surface plants.

I'm waiting for the rain to fill up my tanks.

Thank you to all yours comments:thumbsup:. I'm doing my best but is hard to do all this things only in some weekends.

Wow, this is amazing, only question is with all those surface plants, how do you get to enjoy watching your fish, it looks pretty dense. But never-the-less, that is a very nice set up and I can't wait to see the finished project, NICE LAKES.

I think i'm never going to finish it because i always will be doing anything more in it.

For me it's better to maintain the fishes like this because i only go there at weekends. I have that problem. I don't see the fishes as if they be in one aquarium, but they are more protected and, i think, they feel as if they are in nature. That's why they have that impressive colors that we can't see in aquariums.

I have a couple of Copadichromis Azureus and the male have an impressive blue that i've never seen in aquariums.
