My inexpensive drip system

lets say u dont have a sump to add the overflow drain. without drilling holes on the tank how could u add a return line?

would this work if i plugged the bottom and added a bulkhead fitting at the level i would like to maintain. would it loose suction?

u could add the vacuum pump so it doesnt loose prime.

it can only take out water of the tank to your drain height. right?
