As the title says, I have a true 'monster' on my hands....I tried measuring him today, but couldn't get a good pic for whatever reason. Around 17 to 19 inches, and fat....VERY fat.....

I do have some pics of his dorsal fin, counting the rays. They are under 12, can't remember exactly what as it's been awhile.

In another thread I mentioned how I had been feeding him hotdog as thats the only thing he will eat. He will eat frozen krill, but goes NUTS over hotdog. Has been thriving very well.

I try feeding him a lil' bit every night. But, if I go more than 2 nights without feeding him, someone goes missing....like my very missed chinese high fin banded shark/batfish, redtail sharks, tricolor sharks, etc...

He is my prized fish as I got the 265g just for him to grow into as I couldn't give him away, and he is growing....very well....

any other extraordinary experiences with their monster achara cat?

Have any pictures of this beauty?

sorry for the delay on pics....in process this coming up weekend of giving him the 265g, along with Mr Algea eater (foot long), and my flowerhorn....gonna get the old 125g up and running for the lil' guys, until they get big enough that they won't become a snack for kitty fish. He went thru a growth spurt in the last week....close to 20inches now, and VERY plump

Wow! I think he will eat those smaller cats in the pic.

lol, believe it or not, but there's 2 pictus catfish....those you see in the pics. For some reason, kitty fish adopted them. It's really cute. But, he has every opportunity to eat one of those, but doesn't. One pictus will lay on top of his head while the other nests right underneath kitty's mouth. Been doing this for I don't know how long....several months at least

And, the pics shown are him in the 265g....I will get more recent ones up to show him lately with the growth spurt

He recently ate my hubby's favorite dwarf royal whiptail that took me forever to find, now can't find another one. I forgot to feed kitty fish ONE night. That was the last straw, as he ate other fish over the last year. So, now he's gonna get the 265g all to himself, basically. His two "children" will stay with him of course.

Is he a true perruno/marbled pim?

kitty fish has his own tank today...him, his 2 kids...the pictus catfish, a foot long algea eater, and a flowerhorn cichlid in a 265g.....last fish he ate was last night my spoon face/round face whiptail...lil ticked about it, but can't blame him. Couple days ago it was my dwarf royal whiptail....he has a taste for the whiptails..

Doesn't that driftwood kinda look like a thanksgiving turkey?

Very nice cat!:D

you can't be too sure about your smaller cats not being eaten...yet... they always have their predatorial instincts

I"m just waiting for the day he eats his "children". He ate so many other fish, so why not them?? In the one pic, you can see my old roundface whiptail chilling behind him....that became his dindin on the last night before I separted the fish/tanks.

Kitty fish and my flowerhorn have been going round and round. I'm just gonna let them battle it out. FH is about 8-9 inches, opposed to a 20inch achara catfish. It is rather amusing to watch.
