My Midas

That's ^ uncredible! How is this even possible??

That fish has all its organs in the right places and not all mashed together into a "short-boy" shape. It has fins that still allow it to swim, a mouth that still allows it to eat, and eyes that can still see and allow it to know where it's heading. It doesn't glow in the dark. It isn't tanned or tattooed or dyed or spray-painted. It has only one head, and obviously its genetics are strong enough for it to live a good heralthy long life.

And yet...with all those things working against it...it still somehow manages to be a magnificent and beautiful specimen!

I don't understand...:)

And furthermore, has been raised on 100% processed dry food. 😉

Looked thru the thread but didn't see it off hand. Can you fill us in on tanks size and tankmakes (if any) for this great specimen?
BTW I am convinced you are correct that Luther succumbed due to stress from the female bass (along with tank size and genetics).

125 gallon, no tank mates since he was separated from a group of his siblings. He was a tank boss in this same tank at 3”.
