The one thing I did exactly the same was the base. This is a pretty solid layout IMO.

The walls on this new tank are pretty solid and even though it was a pain to keep them level and square I think it will prove to be much better in the long run. And I used 2 layers of 3/4 ply on the floor this time.

I am going to try applying the pond armor with a roller this time so that will be different from the last tank.

The concrete board isn't being used to that is something different. I think while it's a good idea to use it, I just didn't want to use it this time since I was making the walls and floor stonger than the last tank to begin with.

And I am looking forward to not building a sump and dealing with that on this tank.

I just did my tank with pond armor and a roller. I used a foam roller and I would personally advise against it. There is something in the pond armor that consumes the foam and you'll end up with a lot of foam bits in your tank. It doesn't affect the product from a waterproofing point of view but it does mess up the finish. You've used the product before but I'll say it anyway. Make sure to add in the alcohol (denatured or isopropyl) to make the product manageable. I misread on the first coat and used way more product than i needed to and it was absolutley horrid to apply. That said it's a really good product and when the instructions are followed it applies really well.

Sanding done.. It's not pretty at all but it will work.. lol

I hate sanding.

Anyways good thing I plan on covering the walls with rocks or something in the near future.
Yeah, install a background and that tank will look like a section of the Amazon river!
