This tank build is personally inspiring. I would always fear that one day I was going to log on and read that you were ready to quit. Through all the leaks and hiccups your response was positive and determined. You didn't quit and I'm very glad you didn't because this is lovely empty! I can't wait to see it filled. Great job and congratulations man!

Wow.. my bad luck on this build is non stop.

So, good news. Tank has the sand in and water too.
Bad news. Started the filtration up and one of the dual Reeflo Hammer heads seized up and started leaking.
Good news. Running dual pumps so I am still able to cycle the filtration on just the one.

Very short video below of it up and running.

That's terrible :( My Hammerhead has been running flawlessly 24/7 for almost 7 years. You really are having some bad luck :(

What did you use to cover all the screw holes and joints in the plates? As i have started on mine, i would love to know :)

Your tank looks frikking amazing! Now you can pop the bottle :)

Plates?

You mean in the plywood?

I used bondo but I would suggest that if you used bondo to recoat it with a thick epoxy afterwards or just use epoxy to begin with to fill the screw holes.a

On the seams I used epoxy and fiberglass cloth.
