So are you that plants won't grow in Black Tahitian Moon or its just not the ideal Substrate to use but they will grow? Sorry I am new to the plant area of the hobby. Thanks for the help.I find flourite to be better than eco-complete. Black sand gravel will offer no nutritional benefit to the plants, where flourite and eco-complete will. The focus of a planted tank is not the substrate (it should be covered anyway by plants). The focus lies in the plants themselves.
