My Silver Dollar Tank

Just finished feeding blood worms to my silver dollars so caught some pics with them chowing down. Camera deff needs an upgrade sometime but you'll get the idea. Baby fish growing slowly, feeding them prima.

Yea its an FX5. I do weekly changes to keep it good. Need to with the stocking I've got. Anything that wasn't an fx5 kept clogging with fish crap.

My SD's love Brussels Sprouts. I drop in one every other day. The frozen ones sink and after a day or so the left over non leafy nub will float back up and is easy to remove.

I gotta try them! Something different for them.

Does anyone know much about the markings on these between make and female? A few of them seem to have more of a red tinge on some fins than others.

Finally upgraded from my old casio compact of 4/5 years to the new Canon S90. Only spent 5minutes with it in auto (which as a full manual compact is not the point of it) but I can already see a difference in sharpness etc. Cleaning the back of my tank and glass (that hard stuck on brown green algea is tough, no wonder the plec can't get it off!) has also helped I think!

More to follow once I've mastered it a bit better.

When my SD's try breeding the male gets 2 black spots on his side and the fins have go red with a black edging and the female gets red on the fins and around the gills. The female puts eggs on the backing of the tank, the male comes to fertilise them then the Oscars come along and clear it all up!
