i know hes only at 8 inches too and they max at 16-18 inches... i can only imagine what he will look like when he's full grown.

I have never seen a blue one like that! What a Beauty!!!.....however I have to b e honest and say that I am truly terrified of those fish. My buddy had one and he had to put plexi-glass and cinderblocks on as a hood because it kept jumping out and crawing into his closet. I have a 15 pound Dachshund and I would never keep a fish that could get out and eat my dog!...but good for you on some real beauties!!!

those are giant snakeheads (channa micropeltes) these pleurophthalmas are far more docile. Also, those crazy ideas of snakeheads escaping tanks and eating dogs are all just propaganda, theres absolutely no way that would happen haha. That stuff is all american propaganda to encourage people to kill and get rid of snakeheads as they are invasive. They have caused a lot of damage to the environment but the reputation is completely blown out of proportion.

they were available to me in a vancouver pet store called North American Pet Store. they were 11.99 a piece at 2 inches. i was there a couple days ago and they have plenty in stock. They have them in stock relatively frequently
