Please tell me that you didnt pay $1200 for that tiny little dat....

Other than that man, wow is all I have to say...how convenient/easy is it going to be to do maintenance though? What do you have lined up/planned in regards to that?

Would Love to get Asian aros but in Aus they are pretty impossible to find. And when you do you can bet they will charge a fortune for them. The datnoid I got the lfs wanted $800!! The lfs did not know exactly what he was, when I identified it they said 'oh he should be priced at $1200' You can imagine paying for an asian aro would not be cheap!
It is very difficult to get rare / or hard to come by species here:(
I never know it that hard to find an Asian aro in Australia! maybe you should come to another LFS!

Maintenance was in mind when designing it, and it should be simple. There will also be an auto top up system. For gravel syphoning I just need to stir the gravel a bit.
No I paid under $800 for him. Very expensive but if I could just have one fish it would be a dat! No make that a Dat that takes pellets!!

I been to all the lfs in Brisbane, they are pretty much the same. He was the first Dat I seen for sale in a couple of years of looking.

this hallway is the reason for the odd shape! The tank has to be skinny, but then opens up in the large living area

I would put it a little towards the right hand side (the no background side) and then place some plants byt the 3D BG to give some contrast
