Lovely Cat. I kept one of these many years ago when they were legal in UK to buy/keep. At the age you've got it they have an amazing growth rate. The belly looks like a tennis ball when they've eaten.
Mine grew to nearly 2/3 the size of the tank I kept it in (I'm too embarrassed to tell you how big the tank was). I gave it away to London Zoo aquarium when it was nealry 20". 6 months later they informed me they'd exchanged it with San Diego Sea World.
Make sure you get out at night with a torch-they are super active at lights out and prowl thier tank/pond.
Look after that beats and give it room to grow mate!
