ive had mine for a while,year or 2
someone on here said they knew of some being like 10 years old
so maybe its just your tanks

i love that tank actually,looks great,i think im gona start something similar soon only with a few albino rainbows,a bala or 2 and some other odds and ends,neons ect

the substrate in the tank is pebbles and as you know they like burrying
i can only see their faces or tails very rarely see them whole
and a few of them died in the first few days itself in the QT (may be because the fellow at the lfs went psycho while catching those beauties and at least 2 of them had visible injuries (out of 13 only 6 are alive and have been doing well for the past 2 months
