Your right, I just measured him for myself and he is closer to 5", still haven't seen him eat but he is looking more relaxed and I have added another piece of dw for him so hopefully soon :)

looks like a clean mangleing! lol glad he seems to be doing better. idk what you've all tried but may try some frozen fillets thawed like smelt or salmon even cut into small chunks. If you have a good fish market near you swing on by and see what looks good to try... ;) I'de get myself dinenr as well nom nom

I have tried all of that except salmon lol I'm feeding at night now and he still looks healthy and no noticeable weight loss so I'm guessing I'm just not seeing him eat...

So update is, he is slowly settling into his new home and is healing nicely, I will get pics soon but don't want to disturb him to much ATM and I would have to get him to move if I wanted a pic haha

If anyone has any info or a link that I can find the best set up for him I would really appreciate it :)

He is doing great and is settling in slowly, he ate last night as well but at the expense of my wild Oscar :( see his fat belly in the pics lol the wounds on his head have healed nicely but I found out it was my common plec that was fighting with him, he only has a small scratch on his side and a torn dorsal so he should be perfect again in no time :) here are some pics of him now and his belly with my new Oscar in it

Also any ideas on substrate? I'm gonna have sand or tile because I don't like gravel for bottom dwellers but do you think light or dark substrate will be best for his Colour?
