Don't think your original is a Bahia. Looks to be a ocell.

Apart from the red eye, that looks like the one I thought was a Bahia. So I'd buy it's actually a guiana.

The others being kelzuls is because they've got the spangles and randomly placed stripes I've seen on juvies kels, plus the larger bottom jaw, but I'm also seeing what looks like a bit of blueish tint in the anal fins

Monos, ocells, kelberis and pleiazonas also share the same traits as each other that small. IE head shape, protruding lower jaw ect. But looking at your smaller bass, they could be kelberi/azuls, kelberi/orinos or any other mixed bass that Singapore or tailand has. Personally everyone that knows me on MFK knows that I like to know the history of my bass. From collection point to the time I have them swimming in my tank. I haven't seen a full grown kelzul yet, so I hope your bass are kelzuls and I would like to seem um full grown.

I asked the guy and he said he got them from his supplier who gets them from overseas and that's all I got. Since they were labeled as tems, I was happy to get that much lol.

On average how big are they when they're traits finally come through and we can confidentially id them?

Bigpac has some full grown, or mostly full grown kelzuls, so you can check out his previous posts.

I usually can ID a bass at 6"-8". But orinos, tems, pinimas, azuls, interms and xingus are pretty easy to ID at a smaller size. Hybrids were never my cup of tea.
