Finally and update post!
The shrimp finally stopped dying and I found a couple babies this week so I’d say they’re doing well! I also have seen a buried female so hopefully more shrimplets soon. Upon unpopular opinion I decided to get some super red BN Pleco that seem to be doing amazing as well. They are being fed green beans with algae wafers. The galaxy Rasbora are basically full grown and are already showing breeding behavior. I’m very happy with how this set up is going.

beautiful tanks mate. What type of shrimp do you keep in them?
Just simple yellow neo caridina, being illegal it was hard to find anything fancy at first and I had 100s of them and spread them throughout my small tanks and sumps. I might start another one, go low KH moss only tank and try for caridina, but again beggars can’t be choosers. There’s only a few options in Perth that I know of.

I did not realize shrimp were illegal in Perth. Is that a recent thing or was I ignorantly breaking the law when I kept shrimp from 2010-12? When I lived there I had crystal red & crystal black caridina, mostly lower grade cause I was a newbie to shrimp, and there was several blokes that kept and bred them locally. I sourced most of my locally bred stuff through the Perth Cichlid Society forum.

Zero importation or distribution of any invertebrates now. Bio security I guess. I do have 1 guy Dion who has a selection but when I was ready last time he only had these yellow cherry shrimp. You can obviously get them, just not officially.
