That is one fat fish. What do you feed him/her and how often? It kinda looks like a male to me (more pics might help). It has a barely noticeable bump on his forehead. Also I don't see a blotch on his/her fin from that view. The OP's fish definetly looks male. Oh, welcome to MFK.
