no but $20/$30 worth of 18/35 gallon totes ($5/$15 each) gets the job done... or see if you can get your hands on a 55gallon plastic drum... i prefer the totes because you can use them to transport larger fish and you can keep all the water changing hoses/pumps in them when not in use..

this actually sounds like a better idea than just filling the tank with a python like i have been doing. less conditioner needed and i can stir it to make sure the water is detoxified. i'm gonna run out and grab a 50gal brute trash can to mix the water before adding it to the tank. anyone have any advice on easy ways to get the water from the 50gal bin back into the tank without having to do it gallon by gallon with a small bucket or pitcher?

I use a mag 5 connected to an RV water hose

if you have a harbor frieght around they are a great source of cheap water pumps with long cords... 258gph is usuially around $23... 900gph is around $50.. both come with a 25' cord.. then just take the pump with you to home depot/lowes and match up some pvc fittings.. while yer there pick up a $5 50' garden hose and a $5 "shower splitter" which allows you to add a second shower head... or in this case a fitting that is not attached to the kitchen sink with good water pressure and full temp control..

if you pump the water from the tank to your bin/bins and then make a mental note of the water level on the tank.. from then on you can pump water straight from the tank to the lawn/drain while filling your bin/bins.. this just makes it all go a lil faster...

i can do water changes on my 60, 100 and 220 in about half an hour..

glad i could help. the bucket method will work fine i think. or u could get a ro/di system. fill up 1 50gal bucket a week then pump it in when u need it.

i went and got a 50gal brute trash can yesterday and tried to treat it with the petsolutions conditioner. water still tested at about 1.0ppm for ammonia even with a triple dose. i decided to go get some prime today and try that, and the water is still testing between .25ppm and .5ppm even with a double dose of prime. should this water be safe for the fish?

try this. do 10 or so gallons in the bucket. treat with normal dose of prime. let it sit for 1 day and test it then. it may disipate the cloramine over night.
