I'm coming up with roughly 2" on the acrylic. Tank is coming along nicely.

the acrylic doesnt start that the bottom but 4inches from. thanks for the calculation. i bought 3 gallons of sweet water epoxy. 2 light blues and 1 white. i hope its plenty. and maybe i have enough for a future poject. (auto topoff).

im off to go bondo/sand. i hope i have it all done by friday when the sweetwater comes in.

found the first problem. the tank is 8by3by5. the acrylics 8by4. so im going to have them cut down the acylic, depending on the tolerances, to 95inches.

do i bondo the seem tape into the seems? when i paint the corners has anyone used one of those foam spinning wheels?

at 48" bare minimum is 1.5" but I'd suggest 2" and order it from Laird Plastics. You can check with Nationwide Plastics and ACI Plastics for a price quote first then call Laird to meet/beat the other prices. Laird has by far the best customer service.

oh, and forget going 6" off the bottom. The 48x96 piece will cost you less or about the same as a custom 36" piece.

I used bondo before it really is not that bad to work with. I normally mix less then the amount of hardener cause it gives you a longer work time. but great job on the progress.
