Whats the consensus on releasing into man made secluded bodies of water like a golf course pond? Also how do people feel about killing your fish just because you cant house them? Both are irresponsible. I upgrade when my fish get too big. Its a good excuse.

I feel like golf course ponds or man made decorative ponds are different. They're really water features and separate from preexisting ecosystems that could be damaged. I, personally, don't like the idea of killing fish because you can't house them. I'd rather ask the local aquarium if they can take them or give them to another fishkeeper who CAN house them.

Landlocked golf ponds could be an option as long as permission is given, of course.I understand that most of them are on private property.

Putting fish in man made, land locked ponds is how we got those damned Asian carp everywhere. Don't do it. It is still illegal many places.
