New Ball Python... Hissing, stuck nasal scale, or worse?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks Mr Pee. POW is a big place and has been around for ever, and probably has their own vet or connections, so as much as it breaks my heart to get rid of him, it's for the best I guess :/

On the bright side, I'll get to watch a baby Ball Python grow up...

I myself have a CB 2010,
I wouldn't call him a baby anymore tho... he's doesn't look like one.

For a while he refused food and I was worried, but all it took was the right time to feed him and where to place the food.

Raising the young is the best way I think, unless you are very specific
about what you are looking for (adult colouration), but with BPs I think
the young displays the potential very well.

It's a 20 long, aspen substrate, 60watt red heat lamp and a 10x11" heat pad, humidity is around 40. Not sure of the temps, I couldn't get my hands on anything but sticker thermometers :/

Hmmm I'd say if it's some morph that you really like then keep it and try to figure out whats happening. if not and you're not very attached to it then maybe go and talk to them about it. If they can't explain then perhaps try to return it

That is if you want to get another and watch it grow up from a baby. In my experience i think that's the most rewarding. I've had my baby, Boba, for about a year and a half now since he was a baby and now he's almost 4 feet long! He really grew quickly. I've been wondering for awhile now if the breeder sexed him wrong and it's a female or just a male growing rapidly, but anyways if you really want an attachment then do that. (btw mines an orange pastel morph. beauuuttiffulll coloration)
