New 'hairy' monster in the house

My suvatti was $50
The hairy I was going to buy was $70
My Miurus Congo was around $60

I see way more hairy puffers than I do suvatti. I've been looking for a suvatti for yrs.

Where do you see the hairy puffers? I have been searching for a long time and just found one. Funny enough i feel the suvatti are typically readily available.

hairys don't bury themselves? huh, for an "ambush puffer" that's pretty unusual.

Think hairy live in areas of large river stones and not so much sand. They lay on between rocks and use their hairs to lure in prey

I passed up one from wetspot and the other was bought before I could checkout at exoticfishshop

How long ago was wetspot? I check their list regualry and havent seen one for a really long time. That being I could have easily missed it. I stopped buying from exoticfishstop.

She's looking fantastic. I think you were smart using the size tanks you did. I'm thinking of bumping mine to 40b's

Thanks, I know it seems like a lot of tank for a fairly inactive fish but the 65b works well. Both my lurkers are very active in these tanks when I approach. What they do when Im not around? Probably nothing...

I had done 40b with my puffer before I went with the tall tanks. I do miss the ease of cleaning the shorter tank!

No I think you were smart. I goofed up not going bigger and drilled.

The price of hairy puff's have almost doubled from last year. Which is nice because I'm not as tempted. I'm neck deep into a salt build right now

Is your salt venture going to have a puffer in it?
