I'm not sure the original poster knows this thread is active again. This is a link to the tank. The manufacturer is located near Orlando. I contacted them and if you live locally (as I do), they do allow pickup which saves a hefty shipping fee. The 150g weighs about 100lb empty. I really want to get one soon and paint it black. It will house a monster Midas.

Bleh, Nice tank - I personally wouldn't even frame it plus that will be hard now with fish in it if you don't plan on draining it. It would look just as nice if you put it on a small stand and painted it black or something.

These tanks might be great for ray breeders or somethinga long those lines, as for a regular fish tank they are okay.
I was thinking stand too.

Having to lie down on the floor to view the window pretty much defeats the purpose of the window I think.

hi color why don't u paint the tank to look like wood. it will be cheaper. as i'm in India painting is cheaper and wood is more costlier.
if u go for wood go for a dark color. all the guys use light color but the the dark frame will set off the window which should be brightly lighted.
what type of fish aru planning to stock

I'm pretty sure these are manufactured for aquaculture purposes, not to use as a decorative aquarium. Where I work we use a ton of these for hospital and research tanks. It is nice to be able to see a side view of the fish inside, not just a surface view. We put them up on pallets about a foot from the ground to allow drainage underneath.

Mind if I ask how much you paid for the tank + shipping?
I bought it for the large footprint, not aesthetics. This tanks not being used right now, but I did have a few rays in it for a while.
