150 gallon rubbermaid stock tank

150 gallon Rubbermaid Stock Tank (58" L x 39" W x 25" H).. will be using it as sump... i think i will trim off few inches from the top...

i think i will trim about 5" of the top... then i should i have about 7" room... the the only thing i need to clean are the micron filter bags... rest will be "flushed"

As stated earlier...will this not weaken the overall strengh of the container?

good question but idk cuz there will be less pressure from less water, and those tubs are pretty strong..... we will see

i think i will fill it up about 50% just enough water to pump into the tank after a power outage...
